Spring Semester

Grid generation methods. Generation of 2D, 3D and surface structured grids using Poisson type p.d.e’s. The Gauss-Weingarten equations; Christoffel symbols. Unstructured grid generation: Delaunay triangulation and the advancing front technique. Grid adaptation (refinement, derefinement) to physical problem solutions. Grid-based discretizations of p.d.e.’s in Computational Mechanics.
